This article is a tribute to one of the greatest rock bands of all time. No, not Queen,
although queen kicks ass.. but ac/dc! Ac/DC is the shit. When you put on the back in black album and
hear those first guitar riffs it’s like, “SHIT! This is amazing!” AC/DC was one of those bands I didn’t
understand as a kid. I put ac/dc, pantera, bio-hazard, gwar, metallica…. All in the same tough
guy/metal crap category. It wasn’t til the past year that I started to respect these bands. Songs like
You Shook Me All Night Long… like man… they shake me all night long. I just can’t get over how
great of a song that is.. and how great of a band and the amounts of people they have influenced.
That’s basically the bottom line for a good band. The amount of people they have influence. It you
take Backstreet boys for an example, they have influenced tons of people, but from the ages 8-20.
Metallica has influenced kids from the ages 10-50. Big difference. Same with AC/DC. Another thing
that’s great about those bands is that no one can sound as good as they do. As my guitar camp we
were gonna play Back in Black.. then said to ourselves, “Who the hell is going to sing?” I mean
honestly, who can reach that pitch?? Thus another reason why Ac/DC is so amazing. Maybe it’s not
just ac/dc.. i think it’s the whole 80’s thing. ac/dc, metallica & kiss...they all rocked the house.
songs like “detroit rock city” are anthems! ha! 80’s are here to stay!! yeah!!! ac/dc!!! metallica!!!!!!
